Summary
Eight known compounds, including two triterpenoids: betulinic acid (1) and oleanolic acid (2), three flavonoid C-glycosides: spinosin (3), 6‴-feruloylspinosin (4), and isospinosin (5), two nucleosides: uridine (6) and adenosine (7), and one sugar: sucrose (8), were isolated from the seeds of Ziziphus mauritiana Lam. The structures of these compounds were identified by using extensive nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) data, mass spectrometry (MS), and by comparing with published literature. These compounds were isolated to identify key chemical markers for evaluating the quality of this species in Vietnam.
