Summary
Phenolic Compounds from Methanol Bulb Extract
of Allium schoenoprasum L.
Four compounds (1-4) were isolated from an ethyl acetate fraction of an methanol extract from the bulb of Allium schoenoprasum L. Alliaceae. They were identified as kaempferol (1), quercetin (2), kaempferol-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (3) and gallic acid (4) by spectral analyses as well as comparison to those in the literatures. The presence of the isolated compounds in this species was first reported in Vietnam.
