Summary

Preliminary Studies on Propagation of Panax bipinnatifidus Seem.,

P. stipuleanatus H.T.Tsai et K.M.Feng for Conservation

Within 4 years, we have collected totally 3620 seeds of two plants i.e. Panax bipinnatifidus and P. stipuleanatus. In which, 79 % of the former seeds and 80 % of the later  ones have capacity of germination.

In addition, we have gathered 92.853 kg of their rhizomes and found that the vegetative propagation rate of Panax bipinnatifidus and P. stipuleanatus was relatively high, about 80 %.
