Investigation of Effects of Crinum asiaticum Alkaloids on Normal Cat Blood Pressure and Isolated Rabbit heart

The effects of total alkaloids from leaves of Crinum asiaticum L. were studied on the isolated rabbit heart and cat blood pressure. The results showed that the perfusion of total alkaloids in the concentrations of 10 and 20 mg/100ml failed to influence significantly on the coronary flow. The total alkaloids in doses of 10 and 20 mg/kg i.v. produced no significant changes on blood pressure in cats.
