Study on the experimental models of learning and memory impairment
Two experimental models of learning and memory impairment were performed in Swiss albino male mice using the water maze method of Morris. Scopolamine hydrochloride administered intraperitoneally in doses of 1 mg/kg and 2 mg/kg significantly induced the impairment of learning and memory. Daily oral administration of ethanol for 7 days in doses of 1,8 g/kg and 3,6 g/kg also significantly caused the impairment of learning but not for memory. However, a long term oral administration of ethanol for 14 - 21 - 30 days failed to exert the impairment of learning.
