13C-NMR as a Tool for the Identification of Thermolabile Compounds Exemplified by the Analysis of Curcuma Essential Oils from Vietnam

Summary

We report on the unambiguous identification of thermolabile compounds in essential oils, using ¹³C-NMR spectroscopy, without previous individualisation or isolation of the individual components. The technique is applied to the analysis of Curcuma essential oils from Vietnam.
