Summary
Anti-inflammatory, Analgesic, and Antioxydant Effects of Leaves and Stems of Callisia fragrans (Lindl.) Woods.
The freeze-dried leaves juice (LVL) and the ethanol-aqueous stems extract (LVT) of Callisia fragrans (Lindl.) Woods were evaluated for anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antioxidant effects in mice and rats. Both preparations significantly reduced asbestos induced granuloma formation in rats, inhibited acetic acid induced writhing in mice and decreased the carbon tetrachloride-induced increase in MDA content in mice liver.
