Croton tonkinensis Gagnep.: A review

Croton tonkinensis Gagnep. (Euphorbiaceae) is an endemic medicinal plant in the North of Vietnam. For the past twenty years, comprehensive studies on phytochemical constituents and biological activities of this plant have been reported. This review presents the data from these researches, which highlights structures of many ent-kaurane diterpenoids and their anticancer and anti-inflamatory effects. Expected developments of the principles from the title plant are also discussed.
