Study of Chemical Compositon and Acute Toxicity of the Roots of Clerodendrum sp. Verbenaceae

The results of the study showed that the roots of Clerodendrum sp. contained flavonoid, saponin, tannin, coumarin, sterol, polysaccharide and they contained no glycoside, alcaloid, anthranoid.  The acute toxicity has been tested on mice and the study result showed that the concentrated extract of the roots is not toxic at the tested doses.
