Molecular authentication of Panax vietnamensis, P. bipinnatifidus and P. stipuleanatus by RAPD-PCR analysis
The analyses were carried out using a set of 13 mer-random primers. The similarity coefficients between the samples of the three species were not very high, mainly ranging from 0.87 to 1.00; indicating that the DNA structure of the three species was not significantly different. Nevertheless, several DNA fragments were found to be specific to P. vietnamensis, including OPA2900, OPA8150, OPA141100,650, OPC6900, OPC16650,320, OPC17700, 450; DNA fragments OPA2530, OPA8750,730, OPA121500,150, OPC1250 were specific to P. bipinnatifidus and DNA fragments OPA8400,240, OPA121300,800,700,550, OPC1400, OPC12850 were specific to P. stipuleanatus.
