\n\tStudy on Acute Toxicity and Hepatoprotective Activity of Traditional Remedy for Treatment Hepatitis
\n\tTraditional remedy for treatment of hepatitis consists of Herba Adenosmatis caerulei, Anisomelis ovatae, Cortex Phellodendri, Rhizoma Curcumae longae, Radix Angelicae, sinensis, Flos Sophorae, Radix Rehmanniae, Radix Paeoniae, Fructus Gardeniae. 70% Ethanol extract of this remedy was concentrated into liquid extract 2:1 for investigation on acute toxicity and hepatoprotective activity experimental. Results showed that this liquid extract at maximum dose 125g/kg did not exhibit toxicity. Mice with CCl4 - induced hepatitis and treated with this liquid extract had decreased levels of AST and ALT activity and increased levels of protein and cholesterol in serum in comparision with the control model group recieving normal saline
