\n\tThe demand of medicinal materials in the whole country is 59,548 tones (2005). Among of which, only 27,700 tones (46%) haven been produced. It should be carried out the measures of limiting the region of wild medicinal plants (22 regions), enhancing the survey of experiences of 54 ethnic minorities, the survey of marine medicinal materials, planning of 18 traditional planting regions, carrying out the introduced research of precious medicinal plants, taking the conservation of medicinal plants of being endanger of extinction, taking the measures of regeneration, of limiting the regions of breeding animals and developing drugs. Priority medicinal plants need to be developed for the extraction of purred active substances and for the study of new drugs from medicinal materials, as well as for the technical studies and quality control measures.
