Study on The Chemical Composition of Vietnamese Rambutan Seed (Nephelium lappaceum L.var.)

From petroleum ether and ethanol extract of Rambutan seed (Nephelium lappaceum L.var.) were the oil and wax isolated. The chemical compotion of Rambutan seed oil has been analyzed by GC/MS and was found to contain 11 components. From the wax triglycerid of eicosenoic acid and kaempferol 3-O-b-D-glucopyranoside-7-O-a-L-rhamnopyranoside have been identified. The structures of these compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic methods.
