A New Glycoside From Drynaria fortunei (Kunze) J. Sm. in Vietnam
Drynaria fortunei (Kunze) J. SM. was used in traditional Vietnamese medicine for treatment of osteoporosis, bone injuries, bone fractures. In this study, we reported the isolation of a new compound, fortunamid (1) (4-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl caffeic acid amid), together with two known compounds, liquiritin (2) and epicatechin (3). These compounds were isolated from the methanol fraction by using column chromatography with normal and reverse phase silica gel, shephadex LH20 absorbents and preparative high performance liquid chromatography. Their structures were established by 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy in combination with IR, MS and HR-MS analysis. Compound 3displayed obvious antioxydant activity in the DPPH assay (SC50 = 14.5 µg/ml).
