Development of High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method for Quantitative Analysis of 6-Gingerol and Hesperidin in Citrus Capsules
An HPLC-PDA method for quantitative analysis of 6-gingerol and hesperidin in citrus capsules has been developed. A comprehensive validation of the method including sensitivity, linearity, repeatability, and recovery was conducted. The chromatographic separation was performed on a C18 column by gradient elution with water and acetonitrile. The methodological validation gave acceptable linearities (r > 0.9985) and the average recovery of hesperidin and 6-gingerol added to samples were 98.51% and 98.56% with RSD of 0.21% và 0.16%, respectively. The method could be used to simultaneous quantification of 6-gingerol and hesperidin inZingiber officinale and Citrus nobilis or products origin from these plants
