Propagation and conservation of Acanthopanax gracilistylus W. W. Smith and A. trifoliatus var. setosus Li in Vietnam

The vegetative propagation method of Acanthopanax gracilistylus W.W.Smith and A. trifoliatus var. setosus established by out study using cuttings appeared to be very efficient measure for the purpose of plant production and conservation. After 5 years, using the newly developed protocol, we have set up  successfully two ex-situ conservation gardens with the area of 200 sq.m at the Center of Medicinal Plants in Sa Pa (Lao Cai province) and elaborated an effective process for ex-situ conservation of these species.
