Summary

Chemical Constituents from the Aerial Part of Clinacanthus nutans (Burm. f.) Lindau

Investigation of the aerial part of Clinacanthus nutans afforded two triterpenoids, two sulfur-containing compounds and a flavonoid. Their structures were identified by spectroscopic methods (MS and NMR) and comparison with published spectroscopic data as lupeol (1), betulin (2), clinamide E (3), cis-entadamide C (4), and vitexin (5). Compound 4 was first isolated from this species.
