Summary

Curcuma zedoaroides A. Chav. & Tanee (Zingiberaceae) - A New Record for the Flora and Medicical Plants of Vietnam

Curcuma zedoaroides A. Chav et T. Tanee (local name Nghệ đắng, Củ đắng) (Zingiberaceae) was found as a new species in Minh Lap Commune, Dong Hy District, Thai Nguyen Province, Vietnam and described as a new record for the flora and medicical plants of Vietnam. A full description with a colour plate and notes on the variability in morphology, distribution, phenology, microscopical characteristics and uses of this species are given in detail in this paper.
