Summary
Extraction of Bioactive Constituents in Postharvest Substrate from Production of Cordyceps militaris
Based on the study of chemical compositions of the postharvest substrate compared with that of the Cordyceps militaris fruiting bodies and the extraction parameters, a process for extracting bioactive substances from postharvest substrate has been established. The process was stable on 100 gram batches of raw materials. The average extraction yield was 17.18 ± 0.11% calculated on the basis of raw material weight. The contents of cordycepin and adenosine in the obtained extract determined by high performance liquid chromatography method were 2.81 and 2.07mg/g respectively. The yields of cordycepin and adenosine extracted compared to their contents in raw material were 92.84 and 93.59%, respectively.
