Flavanol, Dihydrochalcone, and Phenolic Constituents from the Roots of Kadsura coccinea
Five compounds as (-)-catechin (1), gallocatechin (2), phloretin 4'-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (3), chlorogenic acid (4), and protocatechuic acid (5) were isolated from the roots of Kadsura coccinea. Their chemical structures were elucidated on the basis of detailed spectroscopic analyses (NMR and MS) and comparing to those in literatures. Among them, compounds 2 and 3 are reported for the first time from this plant.
