Pennogenin, Pregnan Glycosides and Ecdysterone Derivatives from the Rhizomes of Paris vietnamensis (Takht) H.Li
Three saponins and two ecdysterone derivatives were isolated from the rhizomes of Paris vietnamensis. The structures of compounds were confirmed by spectroscopic methods (MS and NMR) and comparision with published spectroscopic data, including paris saponin H (1), paris saponin VII (2), 3β,21-dihydroxy-pregnan-5-ene-20S-(22,16)-lactone-1-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1→2)-[β-D-xylopyranosyl(1→3)]-β-D-glucopyranoside (3), 20-hydroxyecdysterone (4), and 20-hydroxyecdysone 20,22-acetonide (5). Compounds 3 and 4 were first isolated from this species and compound 5 was also reported for the first time in the genus Paris L..
