Summary

Phenolic Constituents from Propolis of Stingless Bee Tetrigonilla collina

Phytochemical study of propolis of stingless bee Tetrigonilla collina collected in Kon Ka Kinh forest led to the isolation of six phenolic compounds: siamyl benzoate (1), (+)-pinoresinol (2), coniferyl aldehyde (3), p-coumaraldehyde (4), trans-cinnamic acid (5), and vanillin (6). The structures of isolated compounds 1-6 were elucidated by spectroscopic (NMR and MS) analysis and comparison with the previous data. This is the first chemical investigation of T. collina propolis.
