Summary
Phytochemistry Research on Alocasia odora
Seven known compounds (an alkaloid 2-dehydrocarbonylflazin, a C-glycosylflavonoids isoschaftoside, a steroid 3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-β-sitosterol, lignans (+)-lyoniresinol-3α-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, (+)-6,6'-dimethoxy-1-O-(β-D-glucopyranosyl)- secoisolariciresinol, (+)-8,8'-dimethoxy-1-O-(β-D-glucopyranosyl)-secoisolariciresinol, and (+)-syringaresinol) have been isolated from Alocasia odora (Roxb.) Koch. This is the first report on these compounds from the Alocasia genus.
