Tóm tắt

Mãn dục nam là triệu chứng sụt giảm nồng độ testosteron thường xảy ra ở lứa tuổi trung niên dẫn đến những suy giảm về sức khoẻ thể chất và tinh thần. Ngải đen (Kaempferia parviflora) thuộc họ Gừng (Zingiberaceae), là một dược liệu được sử dụng trong y học dân gian ở Thái Lan như một bài thuốc giúp tăng cường sinh lực ở nam giới. Nghiên cứu này được thực hiện để khảo sát tác dụng adrogen của các loại cao chiết cồn và nước của ngải đen trên mô hình chuột nhắt đực bị giảm năng sinh dục. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy cao cồn ngải đen liều 0,156 ml/kg và cao nước ngải đen liều 0,3125 ml/kg thể hiện hoạt tính androgen trên mô hình chuột giảm năng sinh dục thông qua việc làm tăng hàm lượng testosteron trong huyết tương; làm tăng trọng lượng túi tinh - tuyến tiền liệt, trọng lượng cơ nâng hậu môn.

Summary

The Androgenic Effect of Ethanol and Aqueous Extracts from Kaempferia parviflora Wall. Ex. Baker

Andropause is a common disorder associated with advancing age and characterized by a deficiency in serum testosterone levels which lead to an increased health problems. Kaempferia parviflora Wall. Ex. Baker is a medicinal plant in the family Zingiberaceae, it has traditionally been used in Thailand as an herb to increase male sexual strength. The present study aimed to investigate the androgenic effect of ethanol and aqueous extract of Kaempferia parviflora in castrated mice. The results showed that treatment of ethanol extract (0,156 ml/kg, oral route) and aqueous extract (0,3125 ml/kg, oral route) of Kaempferia parviflora increased plasma testosterone levels, the wet weights of seminal vesicles, prostate glands and levator ani muscle.
