Survey on Medicinal Plant Resources in Lang Son Province, Vietnam

The research team of the Institute of Medicinal Materials and Department of Health, Lang Son province during the 2012 – 2014 period has surveyed medicinal plant resources in six districts of Lang Son province including Trang Dinh, Loc Binh, Dinh Lap, Chi Lang, Huu Lung and Bac Son. As a result, 788 species of medicinal plants and fungi, belonging to 514 genera, 175 families, 62 orders, 6 divisions of vascular plants and 1 division of fungi were recorded. At the same time, 6 new species of medicinal plants were recorded for the flora of Lang Son province. Medicinal plant resources of Lang Son province are not only diverse in terms of life forms, richness of taxa but also have great value in terms of conservation.
