Hepatoprotective Effect of Lingzhi Extract on CCl4-Induced Hepatic Lesion
Lingzhi (Ganoderma lucidum) has been used extensively in traditional medicine to treat various diseases such as chronic bronchitis, hepatitis, hypertension, gout, hyperlipidemia, arthritis, asthma and cancer… Nowadays, some pharmaceutical formulations containing Lingzhi have been manufactured to boost the use of lingzhi in clinical approach. In order to assess a part of pharmacological effects of one of lingzhi formulations produced by OPC company, we tested the hepatoprotective effect of the product on CCl4-induced hepatic lesion.
