Synthesis of Some Derivatives from Hesperetin and Determination of

Their Cytotoxic Activity

We synthesized 4 hesperetin derivatives and determined their structure by using physical chemistry analyses (IR, LC-MS, 1H-NMR, ¹³C-NMR, HSQC, HMBC). The result in the study of cytotoxic activity showed that the synthetic compounds (at 100µg/ml) exhibited cytotoxic activity like hesperetin (63-86% compared with 63-78%) on HeLa, MCF-7, NCI-H460 tumor cells, however, their IC₅₀ values were higher than these of hesperetin.
