Preliminary Investigation of Chemical Composition of Zinggiber cassumunar Roxb.

From the n-hexane extract of the rhizomes of the wild Zingiber cassumunar Roxb., the compound 2, 4, 5 - trimethoxyphenylbutadiene was isolated and its structure has been determined by spectroscopic methods. The constituents of n-hexane extract from Z. cassumunar rhizomes have been also investigated by GC/MS.
