Summary
The Quality of Illicium verum Hook.f. (Star anise) in Different Planting Regions
The present study aimed at increasing the quality of Illicium verum Hook.f. (Star anise) in different planting regions. The regions where this plant was planted the most are Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang and Bac Can. The results showed that: The highest content of essential oil was found in the samples collected from Lang Sơn province and the highest content of acid shikimic was found in the samples collected from Quang Ninh and Bac Can province. The study demonstrated that the cultivar of Illicium verum in Lang Son or Quang Ninh province should be selected for production development.
