Study on Chemical Constitution of Essential Oil from peel and leaf of the Limnocitrus littoralis (Miq.) Sw., Growing in Ninh Thuan, Vietnam

The essential oil from peel and leaf of Limnocitrus littoralis (Miq.) Sw., growing in Ninh Thuan of Vietnam were isolated by using conventional heating. The results of research on this essential oil showed that, content of essential oil of the peel and leaf of L.littoralis were 2.24% and 1.44%, respectively. The chemical compounds of the essential oils were identified by GC/MS analysis. The results  indicated that the major constituents of the peel oil were 1,3,6 – octatriene (46.79%), Dl – limonene (15.17%), 2-β-pinene (7.49%), γ-terpinene (6.95 %), 1,4,8-O- methatriene (6.95%)... and the main constituents of leaf oil were β-panasinsene (28.82%), β –myrcene (21.72%), 2- β-pinene (19.05%), valencene (5.51%), β-caryophyllene (4.05%)…
