\n\tIsolation and Structural Identification of (9S,13R)-12-oxo-phytodienoic Acid from Chromolaena odorata

\n\t(9S,13R)-12-oxo-phytodienoic acid (13-epi-OPDA) is known as an important metabolite involving in the plant denfense mechanism. A chromatographic fractionation of the methanol extract of the C. odorata aerial parts led to the isolation of pure 13-epi-OPDA. The structure of the isolated compound was determined by means of spectroscopic methods.
