Isolation and structural elucidation of an inositol from Allophyllus cobbe (Sapindaceae)

For the first time L-quebrachitol was found in leaves of Allophyllus cobbe (L.) Raeusch. (Sapindaceae). Its structure has been elucidated by the IR, 1D-, 2D-NMR spectral methods and MS.
