The aerial parts from Mint (Mentha sp.) cultivated in Nghia Trai (Hung Yen province) have been collected in two periodes: before and during the flowering and for oil preparation. Oil analysis was carried out by a combination of capillary GC and MS. 19 compounds were identified and the major components of the oils were pulegone, piperitenone oxide, piperitone oxide, menthol, menthone and piperitenone. During the flowering the content of pulegone reduced, on the contrary the content of piperitenone oxide increased.
