Summary
Assessment of Genetic Diversity in Adenosma indianum Populations from Different Provinces
of Vietnam by ISSR Markers
Inter simple sequence repeats (ISSR) markers were used to compare genetic diversity of 23 accessions of Adenosma indianum populations, collected from six different provinces of Vietnam. Nine ISSR primers amplified a total of 66 loci with 890 bands, fragment sizes ranged from 150 to 950 bp. Jaccard’s coefficient of similarity showed that pair wise genetic similarity coefficients ranged between 50 and 100%, which were in close range to each other. Genetic similarity between populations showed very high values (80%) indicating low genetic variation within and among the populations. These results demonstrated the diversity at the molecular level of A. indianum population distributing in Vietnam. Our results can contribute to the proper sample collection for conservation, breeding, or further research on Adenosma indianum.
