Summary
Chemical Composition of Amalocalyx microlobus (Spire) Pierre - (Apocynaceae)
Collected in Son La Province, Vietnam
From an EtOAc-soluble fraction of the methanol extract from the leaves of Amalocalyx microlobus (Spire) Pierre (Apocynaceae), local name Sơn Đôn, collected in Son La, Vietnam, five compounds including: Luteolin (a flavonoid) (1), luteolin-4'-O-β-glucopyranoside (a flavonoid glycoside) (2), amalogenin A (a pregnen-type sterol) (3), β-sitosterol (4) and daucosterol (5) have been isolated. Their chemical structures were established through spectroscopic evidences including 1D, 2D-NMR and MS data. This is the first report on the chemical composition of the species Amalocalyx microlobus in Vietnam.
Keywords: Amalocalyx microlobus, Luteolin, Amalogenin A, Daucosterol, β-sitosterol, Sơn Đôn.
