Method of Clone Multiplication and Den Tong’s Seed Quality

Den Toong plant called Gynostemma pentaphyllum (Thunb.) Makino is one of Vietnam  precious and rare medicinal plants. It grows naturally in the mountains. Currently, the main supply for drug production is in the wild so it is unstable and confused. In order to prepare seedlings for mass production, we have carried out the method of seed clone and evaluated the seed quality. This will help to create a stable supply of raw materials for mass production of medicines and  functional food in Vietnam.

Research results have shown that cloning methods by cutting plant and by evaluating the seed quality, which can be well applied to rapidly produce the seedling for mass production.
