Summary

Some Study Results on Fruits of Sa Nhan Tim (Amomum longiligulare T. L.Wu) Cultivated in Quan Chu Commune, Dai Tu District, Thai Nguyen Province

Among population of Sa nhan tim cultivated in Quan Chu commune, Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province, there are 2 different kinds: individuals with big fruit and others with small fruit. Study on morphological characteristic (leave, flower and fruit) of these two kinds shows that they are still the same species Amomum longiligulare T.L.Wu, Zingiberaceae.

The comparison on average size, weight and essential oil content of fruits found out some differences between the two kinds. This result provides an important data for selective breeding in future.
