Genetic Discrimination of Amomum longiligulare T.L.Wu in Quan Chu Commune, Dai Tu District, Thai Nguyen Province Revealed by DNA (RAPD-PCR) Markers
Preliminary data on genetic diversity among accessions of Amomum longiligulare T.L.Wu cultivated in Quan Chu commune, Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province were revealed by DNA (RAPD-PCR) analyses. In accessions of A. longiligulare cultivated in Quan Chu, there is existed two distinct types of fruit: big and small ones. By employing the RAPD-PCR technique with 15 random primers, this study showed a relatively low polymorphism among these accessions. Only two markers appeared to be specific for fruit type polymorphic forms, ie. OPA3650 (for big fruit) and OPA3550 (small fruit). Nevertheless, 6 markers present in the both fruit polymorphic forms found in Quan Chu were distint from those of Amomum longiligulare T.L.Wu cultivated in another location (Xuan Mai, Hoa Binh).
