Study on Phytomorphology and Composition of Essential Oil from the Fruits of
Zanthoxylum rhetsa (Roxb) DC., Rutaceae
The plant voucher specimen collected in Northern Vietnam and Laos, vernacularly known as “Mac khen” was identified scientific name Zanthoxylum rhetsa (Roxb) DC., Rutaceae. Hydrodistilled fruit essential oils were analysed by GCMS method. Among more than 20 essential oil compositions, the major ones were determined as bornylene (19.24 %), β –phellandrene (20.50%), L- phellandrene (31.06%).
