Preliminary Investigation of Some Chemical Groups and Alkaloids Contain of Several Parts from Aconitum carmichaelii Debx. var. Carmichealii in Sa Pa.

All parts of Aconitum carmichaelii Debx. var. carmichealii in Sa Pa contains alkaloids, organic acids, free sugars and amino acids. Root contains sterols, oil, trunk contains carotenoid, leaf and flower contain carotenoid, sterol, flavonoid, seed contains oil and flavonoid besides.

Determination of total alkaloids, diester alkaloid and aconitine content in several parts of Aconitum carmichaelii Debx. var. carmichealii collected in Sa Pa from september to october 2004 showed that: The content of total alkaloids in the root is 0.99%, trunk: 0.47%, leaf: 0.64%, flower: 1.39% and seed: 2.28%; The content of diester alkaloids in the root is 0.173%, trunk: 0.031%, leaf: 0.169%, flower: 0.486% and seed: 0.467%; The content of aconitine in the root is 0.0056%, trunk: 0.0016%, leaf: 0.0026%, flower: 0.0024% and seed: 0.0022%.
