Ginger Oil and Efficacy in Experimental Burn Treament

Essential oil of ginger and its bioactivity in murine experimetal burn injury treatment were investigated. The results showed that ginger oil was extracted easily from ginger rhizome under hydrodistillation. Chemical composition and physico-chemical indexes of this oil are not different from these of other ginger oils in the world. The preliminary examination on efficacy in experimental burn treament in mice showed that this oil could be useful for the therapy of burn in humans.
