Anti-inflammatory Effects of Cenditan Soft gelatin Capsules

Cenditan is an herbal drug produced by F.T. Pharma, which contains 75 mg of Houttuynia cordata extract and 300 mg of Centella asiatica extract. Anti-inflammatory effects of Cenditan were studied on carrageenan-induced mouse paw oedema and formalin-induced mouse paw oedema. The results showed that Cenditan given at the doses of 1-2 capsules/kg before carrageenan injection significantly ameliorated acute inflammation induced by carrageenan. On the other hand, Cenditan administered at the daily doses of 1-2 capsules/kg for 7 days after formalin injection also significantly ameliorated oedema caused by formalin. These findings supported that Cenditan has anti-inflammatory.
