Hypoglycemic Effect of Stevioside Extracted from the Leaves of Stevia rebaudiana

in Vietnam

Hypoglycemic effect of stevioside in normal and alloxan-induced diabetic mice and its mechanism were investigated. Stevioside (100, 200, 300 mg/ kg) exerted a significant hypoglycemic effect in normal and alloxan-induced diabetic mice.
