A new Dammarane-type Triterpene Saponin from Eriochloa ramosa (retz.) Kuntze (Poaceae)
Combined chromatographic methods of the metanolic extract of the whole plant Eriochloa ramosa led to the isolation of a new compound named as vina-erioramoside A, together with 4 known compounds (2-5). The new nature product was elucidated as 3β,6β,20(S)-trihydroxydammar-24-ene-3-O-[β-D-glucopyranoside]-20-O-[β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→3)-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→6)-β-D-glucopyranoside] and the known compounds were identified as ginsenoside-Rg1 (2), quercitrin (3), (-) palmatine (4) and daucosterol (5) by spectroscopic methods including ESI-MS, 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopies and in comparison with the literature.
