Three Pentacyclic Triterpenoids Isolated from Stephania brachyandra Diels.

Three pentacyclic triterpenoids named 2a,3a,19a-trihydroxyurs-12-ene-28-oic acid (1),  2a,3β-dihydroxyolean-12-ene-28-oic acid (2), and 2a,3β,19a-trihydroxyolean-12-ene-28-oic acid (3) were isolated from the non-alcaloid  extract of the tubers of Stephania brachyandra Diels. Their structures were characterized by means of ESI-MS, ¹H-NMR, ¹³C-NMR (CPD and DEPT), HSQC and HMBC spectra in comparison with the literature. This is the first report of 1, 2 and 3 from Stephania species
