Summary
Superoxide dismutase activity in mice with carrageenan – induced inflammation and influence of some medicinal plants
The results of this study have shown that the flavonoid extract from the leaves of Artocarpus tonkinensis and the aqueous extract from a species of parasitic plant not being classified possess significant anti-inflammatory activity in acute carrageenin-induced paw edema in mice. The aqueous extract of this parasitic plant has been shown to reverse the decrease of superoxide dismutase in erythrocytes and the increase of plasma malondialdehyde in mice with acute paw edema.
