Summary

Megastigmane Glycosides from Trichosanthes anguina L.

Using various chromatography methods, four megastignane glycosides, corchoionoside B (1), icariside B₅ (2), (3R,9S) 3,9-dihydroxymegastigman-5-ene 9-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (3), and icariside B₁ (4) were isolated from the leave of Trichosanthes anguina L. Their structrures were elucidated by 1D- and 2D-NMR. All these compounds were reported from the genus Trichosanthes for the first time.
