Summary
Phenolic Glycosides from Trichosanthes baviensis
Using various chromatography methods, four phenolic glycosides, (+)-lyoniresinol 3α-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, (-)-lyoniresinol 3α-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, demethoxybergenin, and bergenin were isolated from the leaves of Trichosanthes baviensis. Their structrures were elucidated by 1D- and 2D-NMR. All these compounds were reported from the genus Trichosanthes for the first time.
Keywords: Trichosanthes baviensis Gagnep., Cucurbitaceae, (+)-lyoniresinol 3α-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, (-)-lyoniresinol 3α-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, Demethoxybergenin, Bergenin.
