Study on Anti-inflammatory and Analgesic Effects of Two Preparations Extracted from a Traditional Anti-Rheumatoid Arthritic Remedy
A new preparation (TK2) has been extracted from a traditional anti-rheumatoid arthritic remedy and investigated for anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, in comparison with the other preparation (TK1) produced by Hoa Binh Traditional Medicine JSC from the same remedy. The results showed that the new preparation TK2 with the lower oral dose than TK1 (by 3.2 times) had the same anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects as TK1. Both preparations significantly inhibited carragenean induced paw mice oedema, reduced asbestos induced granuloma formation in rats and inhibited acetic acid induced writhing in mice.
