Establishment and Examination of the Method for Quantitative Determination of Phyllanthin in Herba Phyllanthi and in Medicinal Products Containing this Raw Material
HPLC method using UV detector to determine phyllanthin in Herba Phyllanthi and in medicinal products containing this raw material has been developed successfully.
Chromatographic condition includes analytical column Phenomenex C18 (250 x 4,6mm; 5µm); isocratic elution with mobile phase methanol/ water (72/28); flow rate 1.0 ml/min; UV diode array detection at 230 nm. The results showed that the above method has excellent linearity; the correlation between concentrations and pick areas of phyllanthin was found (r = 0.9998). Chromatography system has good repeated levels with relative standard deviation (RSD) of 0.79%. Moreover, the experiment also met the requirements including the accuracy (< 3%), and the precise (RSD < 2.0 %). LOD =0.33µg/ml and LOQ=1.089 µg/ml.
